You may recall that Bruce gave up coffee and Claudia gave up chocolate these many years ago... To celebrate their new adventure in Cotacachi, the embargo was lifted.. YEAH!
Our adventure continues to be such a blessing.. The people are wonderful; we met another American from Eugene, Oregon, who shared his experiences since his arrival, including a great dentist (if there is such a person); the food is great; AND THE COFFEE IS WONDERFUL.
We walked the streets of Cotacachi, enjoying the sites and the weather - the weather just as told to us, 50' nighttime and 70' daytime, with some sunshine during the day, clouds in the AM.
Today, we traveled to Otavalo, just a few minutes from Cotacachi. We met with an attorney who will be helping us with our Visa, a very nice man, Santiago is his name. He will make the process easy for us to become permanent residents of Ecuador.
We rode the bus to Otavalo, .25 each to ride. Took a taxi to his office from the bus station, $1.00.
Took a brief excursion up the side of the mountain to take a look at the valley below.. It was breathtaking. Our photos do not do it justice. This place is beautiful in every way.
We dined at a Gringo cafe today, Filet Mignon $7.50, and that was because we were dining at the Gringo cafe. Prices are much cheaper elsewhere.
Back to our room for another great night's sleep.

How beautiful! These pics are great! Keep them coming! Does this mean you'll be having some chocolate, too? Would have loved to be there for Grandpa's first cup of coffee!
